About Us

Burlington Brew Tours LLC, a budding tour company gives visitors and residents in Burlington the opportunity to learn and sample handcrafted beers at local breweries and brew-pubs, while leaving the driving to someone else. Burlington Brew Tours launched its 4-hour tour in early August of 2009, offering visits to Switchback Brewing Co, Vermont Pub and Brewery, Magic Hat Brewing Co. and Zero-Gravity Brewing Co.

The tour includes lunch at American Flatbread/OuterSpace Cafe; both establishments utilize the best of local all-natural ingredients, which VT greatly prides itself on. We also offer Al’s French Frys for a more old school taste.

Owner Chad Brodsky said developing a brew tour in Burlington made good business sense. He pointed to a MSNBC feature ranking Burlington No. 4 among the “Top 10 Cities for Beer Lovers” in the world and said that artesian micro-brewed beer represents the heart of Vermont’s beer culture.

“Burlington Brew Tours offers beer enthusiast and novices alike a chance to try 20-25 handcrafted beer from 4 different breweries”, said Brodsky, adding each brewer is unique with different character traits that transcends into the beer that they produce.

The tours offer a formal, interactive tasting from a brewers perspective, with insight into what goes into choices of ingredients and brewing styles for each offering.

Brodsky got the idea while on a semester abroad in Vienna Austria, where good beer is an important part of the local lifestyle.

The tours feature a personal feel. Mr. Brodsky constantly strives to keep his beer enthusiasts intrigued and participating along the tour in a safe and exclusive format not offered at other Vermont attractions.

As word gets out, Mr. Brodsky believes his tours will become a staple of the VT beer culture: “A must-do if you are going to the Champlain Valley Region”. In the upcoming months, Burlington Brew Tours will launch its Stowe Beer Adventure. The Stowe Beer Adventure aims to unite the region’s handcrafted beers with the land of Vermont through a pairing of locally grown organic fresh vegetables, all natural meats and artisan cheeses led by the Stowe Mountain Lodge’s head chef, Sean Buchannan. The new tour keeps consistent all the great all-inclusive attributes of the Burlington Tour with a few additional perks. Mr. Brodsky is really excited to work with the Rock Art Brewery, The Alchemist Pub and Brewery, The Shed Restaurant and Brewery and The Stowe Mountain Lodge on the newest Burlington Brew Tour beer-adventure.
